Substance Use Disorder Treatment Facility

Basic Function

• The basic function of the Intake Screener is to help people who are seeking treatment for Substance Use Disorder (SUD) find appropriate care at CRI-Help by handling phone inquiries and tracking admission inquiry data.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic information to callers regarding CRI-Help’s programs and services, reflecting our mission and values in a professional manner.
• Conduct screening interviews to help the treatment team determine appropriate level of care, and to ensure that our facility can adequately meet the client’s needs.
• Communicate basic medical and psychiatric background information to our treatment team of nurses and clinicians.
• Verify potential client insurance coverage and eligibility.
• Respond directly to all LiveChat inquiries, and track data for LiveChat reporting.
• Track admission inquiry data for Quality Management Committee reporting.
• Comply with all HIPAA rules and regulations.
• Perform other related tasks as assigned by Admissions Manager.

Skills / Knowledge

• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must have excellent documentation skills
• Must have excellent computer skills (including MS Office)
• Must have excellent organizational skills
• Must be willing to interact with people who may actively be using drugs and alcohol.
• Intake Screeners are expected to engage callers with patience, empathy, and professionalism.

Education / Training

• Must have High School Diploma, or equivalent
• Must be registered or certified with CCAPP, CAADE or CADTP
• Bilingual (Spanish / English) preferred

Experience

• Experience working in an office setting preferred

Working Conditions

• Frequent ascending, descending of stairs.
• Prolonged periods of time in a stationary and / or sitting position for 6-8 hours.
• Occasional crouching below the waist / above the shoulders.
• Occasional lifting and / or moving objects up to 5 pounds.
• Occasional pushing and / or pulling objects up to 5 pounds.
• Occasional operation of motor vehicles.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
